How long does the session last?
My family sessions are typically 1.5-2 hours long, depending on the size and age of your family.
What should I wear to the session?
I will have a preparatory call with you to talk in detail about clothing, colours and styles that work well for you and your famly. I will share a style guide with you to help you when thinking about what to wear and what will make the photographs look timeless and beautiful. The main thing though, is that you and your family feel comfortable in what you are wearing, as that will shine through in the photographs.
Who should come to the session?
Families come in all different shapes and sizes and my sessions celebrate that, I am there to document the love between your beautifully unique family. This can range from immediate family, children on their own, couples, family with Grandparents, family and friends or the whole extended family.
Let me know what you need and I can tailor a package for you.
How long after the session will it take to see the photographs?
Your images will be available to view on your online gallery within 6 weeks of the session.
What if my children don’t want their photograph taken?
This is the most common concern from families when they book. Please don’t worry, or let this put you off. I go at the pace of your children. We chat, play games and take plenty of breaks. If they are not in the mood when we first meet, then I might take photographs of you and ask them if they’d like to be my assistant, or just go and explore for a few minutes without the pressure of the camera. I find if we keep it relaxed and fun children will warm up to the idea pretty quickly, especially when they can see their parents having lots of fun. I will also work out the right time of day with you before the session, to ensure they have eaten and are not due a nap. I know how hangry I get when tired or hungry ;0) I also have two little ones myself, so I understand the importance of timing!
